Chennai-based Big Bang Boom Solutions (BBBS) has announced the delivery of its indigenous AgniQuell High Expansion Fire Fighting Foam to the Indian Navy’s Material Organisation.

BBBS developed AgniQuell under an Indian Navy iDEX challenge supported by the Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO).

According to the company, AgniQuell has been designed for naval, defence and industrial applications and provides a high-expansion firefighting capability intended to rapidly suppress fires while reducing water consumption and protecting sensitive equipment.

The company claims an industry-leading expansion capability of up to 1:1000, which transforms a compact volume of foam concentrate into a massive, oxygen-starving blanket of fire-suppression foam within seconds.

BBBS said the product was developed through indigenous research and development and is compatible with existing firefighting foam equipment. The company added that the delivery marks its second successful product developed and delivered under the iDEX programme.

Beyond naval applications, BBBS said AgniQuell could also be deployed in sectors including oil and gas, power generation, aviation and heavy manufacturing.
